Painter of Nature – Drawn to Dreams

Hege Elisabeth Haugen has exhibited throughout Europe, participating in both group and juried shows from the  Haugar Vestfold Museum of Art Tönsberg, Norway – who subsequently decided to expand their permanent collection with a piece from her exhibition, to the  ‘Immortal Works’ at the Hall of Art, Gothenburg, Sweden as well as the Florence Academy of Art Alumni Exhibition at the Corsini Palace Stables, Florence, Italy. She is currently presented by Galerie Michael, Los Angeles.

Hege Elisabeth Haugen was born in Norway in 1979.  She studied with Odd Nerdrum between 1999-2001 and spend her summers at Odd Nerdrum Painters Community in Norway, Iceland and France from 1998-2008.
In 2003 she enrolled in the Florence Academy of Art, Italy and graduated in 2006, after which she became the Principal Instructor of Drawing at the newly founded Swedish branch of the Florence Academy of Art in 2007.  In 2010 Hege Elisabeth was offered the position as Principle Instructor for Painting by the Florence Academy of Art, Florence, where she lives today.
